Open Positions

Chartered Town planner (with 5 years experience)

A Position is available for a full time Chartered Town planner. The position is based at our head office in Mullagh, Kells, Co. Meath. The ideal candidate will be experienced and looking to further his / her career:.

THE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Previous experience in similar role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong strategic, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team, assess priorities, and manage multiple activities with attention to detail, meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving capacity, with demonstrated ability for considerable analysis and sound judgment to find solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working within team delivering EIARs.
  • Quarry planning
  • Understand waste legislation and how it links with relevant Planning acts
  • Manage environmental type planning applications.
  • Understand the Judicial Review process
  • Understand AIE Regulations and help prepare applications to avoid such access.

Senior Civil Engineer (with project management experience)

A position is available for full time senior Civil Engineer in our engineering section. The role will include acting as project engineer / manager on numerous projects, from design phase to construction. The successful candidate must have the below listed attributes;

THE CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Be able to self-direct, multi-task and co-ordinate work.
  • Ability to quickly learn on the job.
  • Good communicator, both written and oral.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to car.
  • Applicant must be very competent with AutoCAD.
  • Organised and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.

The role includes but is not limited to the below;

  • Carry out periodic site inspections and cross examine subject works with relevant building regulations – therefore clear understanding of building regulation is essential.
  • Review Client designs for compliance with building regulations.
  • Produce Fire Safety Certificates and Disability Access Certificate applications.
  • Work with the Environmental team in preparation of commercial and industrial planning applications.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the building control regulations, in particular Part B and M or demonstrable ability to research and self-learn.
  • Experience onsite in building construction.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit and/or Civil 3D.

Environmental Scientist (with 5 years’ experience)

We are recruiting an Environmental Scientist for our Environmental Team. Based at our head office at Mullagh, Kells, Co. Meath, the ideal candidate will be experienced and looking to further his / her career. The candidate will gain invaluable experience in a multi-disciplinary consultancy within a friendly working environment. This is a full time role and offers the successful candidate opportunities for career development.

THE CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Have previous experience in an environmental consultancy area, preferably in environmental assessment and the statutory consent process.
  • Chartered membership with a relevant professional body would be an advantage.
  • Proven team player.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, excellent report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of the Irish planning system, EIA and AA legislation and relevant case law.
  • Ideally have experience in some or all of the following areas; data collection & interpretation, scoping and preparation of EIAR documentation, IPPC / Industrial Emission licence applications, Environmental auditing, Risk assessment. Environmental due diligence assessment and knowledge of quarrying and landfilling.
