Boylan Consulting worked with ABM Contractors Ltd to carry out Whole Life-Cycle Embodied Carbon Assessments for two school buildings.

Using INDICATE software and following EN 15978:2011 standards, we assessed the projects across life-cycle modules A1–C4 over a 50-year period, taking into account the specific characteristics of the buildings.

The assessments established a clear carbon baseline for each building, helping the design team compare performance, meet relevant benchmarks, and identify practical opportunities to reduce embodied carbon through design and material choices.
