Boylan Consulting partnered with FitzMac to develop a 60-minute fire-rated wall system,
tested at Efectis UK. Our scope included full compliance with Parts A, B, E, and L,
detailed technical drawings, and expert thermocouple placement to ensure precise data
capture during testing.

The system was assessed against the three critical pillars of fire performance:

• R – Stability – maintaining structural capacity under fire conditions.
• E – Integrity – preventing flame and hot gases from passing through the wall.
• I – Insulation – limiting heat transfer to the unexposed side.

The wall achieved 80 minutes fire resistance, exceeding the target by
20% as requested by FitzMac, while maintaining acoustic, thermal, and structural performance.
