Cathal Boylan graduated at the Queen’s University of Belfast in 1997 with an honours degree in Civil Engineering. Before setting up the Boylan Engineering, Cathal worked in varied disciplines within the industry, commencing first as a site engineer on road construction projects. In the early 2000’s Cathal worked as a design engineer with ESB International – the role included Planning, Environmental assessment and EIS preparation for controversial for high voltage overhead transmission lines. The role also included steel structural design of lattice towers, concrete foundation design and general project management.
In 2001, Cathal completed a post graduate diploma in Project management from Trinity Collage. In 2005 he received the title of “Chartered Engineer” from Engineer’s Ireland, reflecting his varied experience and accomplishments within the industry. In 2006 Cathal set up “Boylan Engineering” which trades as an “Engineering and Environmental Consultancy”. The business has expanded year on year and since first commencement of operations have developed a solid reputation for providing high quality integrated solutions serving public and private sector clients in the construction, environmental and waste recycling industry.
